Several years ago, Ruthe and I spent two nights in Mumbai. It was the last two days of a two week trip to India, and we were really looking forward to going home. Yet, the opportunity to see a small part of one of the world’s great cities was irresistible.

Mumbai – formerly Bombay – is the most crowded city I’ve ever visited – and one of the friendliest. We traveled by taxi, rickshaw, motorcycle and bus. We saw elephants, ox-carts, hundreds of cattle and thousands of people in the streets!

The news of terrorists in Mumbai is saddening but not shocking. I am surprised that attacks like this do not happen more often.

My prayer is that the Sovereign Lord of the Universe, the crucified and risen Savior, will take what was meant for evil and turn it to the eternal good of the precious Indian people.
