From Sunday’s “Meet the Press”:

Brokaw: …“I if [Obama] were to come to you and say ‘help me out here, Madam Speaker, when does life begin,’ what would you tell him?

Pelosi: “I would say that as an ardent practicing Catholic this is an issue that I have studied for a long time, and what I know is over the centuries the doctors of the Church have not been able to make that definition. And St. Augustine said three months. We don’t know. The point is it that it shouldn’t have an impact on a woman’s right to chose.”

Huh?

If it can be determined, to Pelosi’s satisfaction, that life begins at conception – a human being comes into existence – and yet, a mother still has the right to terminate the pregnancy – obviously ending a human life…

Francis Schaeffer spoke prophetically 20 years ago when he said that if Christians cannot unite against abortion, infanticide (killing of babies) and euthanasia (killing of the elderly and infirm) are next.

We are there.

  1. These Democrats use these big words that just leave me baffled.
Now I have to look up the meaning of “ardent practicing Catholic” because I am most confounded by Pelosi’s use of the term.
I know of practicing atheists that can even agree with when a human life begins (and ends).
Lets extend this one more step, and agree that, according to her answer, Pelosi doesn’t even know if life begins at birth. Therefore she doesn’t know if she is alive. Extending this one more literal step, since “it is a womans right to choose” and since she is a woman, she can decide right now if she is alive or not. Given that ability, she doesn’t need the trappings of Catholism or any other religion for her salvation. She can just decide to stay alive using her very liberal right to choose.

  2. What do you say to something like that? Its like having a conversation with a brick wall…..someone with no common sense, so blinded by their ideology that they dont even care if they are supporting infanticide.

    What an embarrassment.
